alison + jessie in the sunnies...
Alison is one of my best friends on the planet. A true sister and I was lucky enough to capture her surprise proposal which I blogged about here! It was the most beautiful, special day and yes...I cried the entire time. Exactly one year before their wedding day, we headed to a sunflower field for their engagement photos outside of Pittsburgh, PA and the result was pure magic.
While Alison and I have about a million connection points, our love for sunflowers is at the top of our list, so capturing their love among the sunflower fields was a beautiful way to capture their authentic love story. We arrived just as the sun was setting for a perfect blue hour session which really helped the sunflowers POP!
This location is amazing not just because of all the sunflowers, but they also have amazing props throughout the fields with vintage cars, couches, and so much more to make the perfect image! I can't even tell you how many questions we got about this shoot and where we got all of the "cute" props! Irons Mills Farmstead in New Wilmington, PA has it all! You just have to pay your admission fee into the park and you are good to go!
We got to kick our shoes off and run through the fields and to our surprise, we had the place to ourselves! Jesse & Alison are totally naturals in front of the camera and their genuine love radiates through these images. To say I am ECSTATIC about their 2022 wedding would be the ultimate understatement. It is going to be a perfect day.
