"We want it to feel 'Twilight'-like..."
...were the words spoken to me by Maddison before their fall engagement session in Pittsburgh, PA. And let me tell you I was HERE. FOR. IT. I had the total honor of sneakily photographing Maddison + Conor's engagement a few months prior to this session, and I knew they were about to BRING IT to their formal session. Have you seen a more beautiful couple!?
We met at Peters Lake Park in Canonsburg, PA at during golden hour to capture the beautiful changing leaves and the sun shimmering off of the lake. We trekked into the tall trees with golden leaves to compliment their all-black ensemble & Maddison's flat-brimmed hat (which she was nervous about bringing and I think we can all agree that it was the right move).
I cranked up the tunes & the magic began. This couple made it look effortless & the photos came to life before our eyes! Their outfits complimented the fall tones like a dream, and seriously, what is better than a Western PA fall!? I've lived all over the place & while other parts of the country have amazing things to offer, there is nothing like a Pennsylvania fall!
One of the reasons I love this location so much is because it has so many different options in just one space! There are the tall trees, the lakes & trees, then on the opposite side of the lake, there's an entirely different view!
For the second look, Maddie + Conor switched to more of a street style and the way her light-colored top complimented the sky & the lake was perfection *chef's kiss*!!! The sun was setting fast, so we moved quickly to capture the shots even though it was getting quite dark...and they ended up being my favorites from the day.
This has been one of my absolute favorite engagement photoshoots to date and I am so freaking excited to photograph this couple's 2023 wedding! The camera loves them and so do I!
