more. in-home. photoshoots. please.

Guys, I cannot say enough good things about this couple and this photoshoot!!!!! I had a last-minute opening for a Saturday session & posted about it on my Instagram story, and Kate responded! The rest was history. She wanted a cozy in-home session since they'd just bought their new home and had made some amazing improvements! Of course, the fur-babies were heavily involved!

It was so much fun exploring their home & finding different places to photograph, and as you'll see in these photos, we utilized so many different rooms! From their beautiful naturally lit living room, their bedroom with the amazing barn doors into the bathroom, the super cutely decorated foyer and the highlight - the kitchen!

I'd been wanting to do an in-home session for some time, and this house was perfect for it! Tilly, of course, was a total ham and took it upon himself to steal the show, while Sushi (the feline friend) held out on us until the very end. We utilized the big beautiful window in the front of the room, the fireplace, and the cozy couch!

We went upstairs to their vast bedroom to get photos snuggled up on their big king-sized bed, some playful shots jumping on the bed, then some in the doorway leading in to their newly finished bathroom! We kicked the pup out for these ones because he was just a little *too* excited to play on the bed with his mom and dad!

We took it downstairs & got some shots in the foyer before we headed into their newly updated kitchen! Fun fact - Kate is an AMAZING baker, so I was excited to see the space where the magic happens! It was decorated with the ~cutest~ lemon theme & it was seriously SPOTLESS! A chef's dream!

We finished the photoshoot in their mudroom/sunroom (hasn't been finished quite yet!), but it had BEAUTIFUL light, so we had to take advantage of the natural & light and get the family photos in this space! Tilly & Sushi were called back to set & let me just say, these are these two animals set an unrealistic expectation of what it's like to photograph pets because they were SO GOOD! Look at that eye contact!? I can't wait to work with Kate & Ryan (and the fur babes!) again!
